Smart Kegs can indeed be used as standalone devices for fermentation and serving. However, since the system is primarily designed as a comprehensive, automated brewing system, standalone keg operation might require initial assistance. 

 Should you wish to use a Smart Keg separately, we’ll guide you through the initial fermentation steps and subsequently set up the keg in temperature control mode, allowing for manual temperature adjustments during subsequent brewing phases.
