WiFi
You need a Wi-Fi router that supports 2.4 GHz. If you have a standard 5 GHz installed, you can open the 2.4 GHz band. To identify which network you have, please follow the steps below:
- 1. Connect to the WiFi network
- 2a. Hold the "option" button on the computer keyboard (Mac) and click the WiFi
- icon for detailed information in grey about your WiFi. In the middle, it will show
- Which channel is your WiFi using?
- 2b: Open your networks panel (windows) from your taskbar, click the WiFi icon
- In the bottom right, and then on properties
3. Channel (Mac) or in Properties (Windows) will either say in the brackets
2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.
If your WiFi router supports dual signal, there is a way to open up the 2.4 GHz band:
- 1. Find the IP address on the back of your router
- 2. Then, enter it into the web browser address bar to open the configuration page
- 3. Enter the information on the login page. Typically, it be username/password
- 4. Find the wireless settings page and set a different name for your 2.4 GHz and
- 5GHz WiFi
- 5. Reboot the router and connect to 2.4 GHz WiFi.
Note: You only need to connect the base station to the WiFi, as it will automatically send the credentials to the Smart Keg
Electricity
The base station has a standard US grounded socket, type B power plug. It requires 110-120 volts and a max 1300-watt output. The cable is 5 feet long. The Smart Keg 2.0 and 3.0 have a standard power adapter, type A power plug (110-240 Volts). The cable is 16 feet long.
Travel adaptors
You can use a grounded travel adapter (suitable for 1500 watts+).
