Minibrew Brewpacks are the recipe kits required to brew small-scale batches of home-brew beer using the Minibrew; a selection can be found in the shop.
You can find details about each recipe in our shop. However, these packs are sometimes out of stock and can't be found on our website.
The brewing part on the base station always follows the same steps: mixing the malt, adding hops to the carousel, mashing, boiling and cooling.
The fermentation part in the keg differs alot between recipes, so a schedule can be found below.
Delfis Juice
The Delfis Juice, created by Community Award winner Eelco is a real thirst quencher and filled to the brim with hoppy goodness. The introduction of new hops creating the perfect refreshing haze will surely satisfy your needs on a long trip overseas or simply at home!
- Fermentation time: 23 days.
- Ready to drink: 23-25 days (carbonation grade is up to personal preference).
- Abv: ~7%.
What's included?
- 1x Mixed crushed malt (barley, wheat, oat, candy sugar)
- 4x Boil ingredient bags (aroma hop pellets)
- 1x Dryhop bag (aroma hop pellets)
- 1x Dry yeast package (New England)
- 1x Disposable dryhop bag.
Fermentation schedule:
Primary:
- Add the yeast into the keg
- Attach the airlock to the keg post (located in the middle of the keg lid);
- Attach the trub container to the bottom of the keg.
- The keg brings the temperature down to 21C for 1 day.
- The keg brings the temperature down to 18C for 3 days.
Secondary:
- The keg controlls the temperature at 18C for 4 days;
- The keg brings the temperature up to 21C for 1 day.
- The keg brings the temperature down from 21C to 16C.
- Dry hop is added to the dryhop bag and the temperature will be controlled at 16C.
Conditioning 1:
- The keg controlls the temperature at 16C for 2.5 days;
- Remove the trub container and empty its contents;
- Remove the dryhop bag.
- Replace the trub container.
Secondary:
- The keg controlls the temperature at 5C for 4 days;
Conditioning 2:
- The keg controlls the temperature at 5C for 4 days;
- Remove the trub container and empty its contents;
Carbonation/Serving:
- Attach a cartridge to the pressure regulator.
- Attach a black ball lock connector to the regulator.
- Mount the regulator on the keg post with CO2 text.
- Open the regulator and wait 1 day.
- Replace the cartridge and wait 1 more day.
- Connect the tap to a black ball lock connector and attach it to the keg post with TAP text.
- Release the pressure inside the keg by gently lifting the overpressure valve.
- Pressure the keg to 5psi for a proper tapping flow and tap your beer!
