Minibrew Brewpacks are the recipe kits required to brew small-scale batches of home-brew beer using the Minibrew; a selection can be found in the shop.
You can find details about each recipe in our shop. However, these packs are sometimes out of stock and can't be found on our website.
The brewing part on the base station always follows the same steps: mixing the malt, adding hops to the carousel, mashing, boiling and cooling.
The fermentation part in the keg differs alot between recipes, so a schedule can be found below.
Juicy Double
Our very own Juicy Double is the Fresh & Fruity sister of our first DIPA, Bitter Sweet Symphony, one which you simply must drink as fresh as possible! The classic combination of Amarillo, Mosaic and Simcoe hops in the dry hop give this beer its juicy flavour.
- Fermentation time: 21 days.
- Ready to drink: 21-23 days (carbonation grade is up to personal preference).
- Abv: ~7%.
What's included?
- 1x Mixed crushed malt (barley, wheat, flaked oats)
- 6x Boil ingredient bags (aroma hop pellets, bitter hop pellets)
- 1x Dry yeast package (US-05)
Fermentation schedule:
Primary:
- The keg drops the temperature to 25C.
- Add the yeast into the keg;
- Attach the airlock to the keg post (located in the middle of the keg lid);
- Attach the trub container to the bottom of the keg;
- The keg controls the temperature at 18C for 6 days.
Secondary 1:
- The keg increased the temperature to 25C for 2 days.
Conditioning 1:
- The keg controls the temperature at 12C for 1 day;
- Remove the trub container and empty its contents;
- Replace the trub container.
Secondary 2:
- The keg controls the temperature at 12C;
- Add the dryhop into the keg;
- The keg controls the temperature at 12C for 6 days.
Conditioning 2:
- The keg controls the temperature at 12C for 1 day;
- Remove the trub container and empty its contents.
- Replace the trub container.
Conditioning 3:
- The keg controls the temperature at 5C for 1 day;
- Remove the trub container and empty its contents;
- Replace the trub container.
Conditioning 4:
- The keg controls the temperature at 5C for 1 day;
- Remove the trub container and empty its contents.
Carbonation/Serving:
- Attach a cartridge to the pressure regulator.
- Attach a black ball lock connector to the regulator.
- Mount the regulator on the keg post with CO2 text.
- Open the regulator and wait 1 day.
- Replace the cartridge and wait 1 more day.
- Connect the tap to a black ball lock connector and attach it to the keg post with TAP text.
- Release the pressure inside the keg by gently lifting the overpressure valve.
- Pressure the keg to 5psi for a proper tapping flow and tap your beer!
