Troubleshooting: Do I need hop filters?Updated a day ago

While the device comes with filters to prevent hops and other particulates from entering the vessel during brewing, these filters are not intended to purify water. 

Users in areas with unsuitable tap water are advised to use potable water, which can be obtained from a supermarket. The device requires a minimum of 1.6 gallon  of potable water for brewing, while additional tap water may be used for the cooling process without risk, as it does not come into contact with the beer.
